The course will help you improve your Russian skills and familiarize yourself with famous Russian and Soviet movies and cartoons.

During the classes, we will watch movies, do some tasks based on the watched movie, analyze and discuss our impressions, as do some writing exercises. We will have weekly sessions to watch movies and work on Russian based on them. The teacher will provide all necessary materials.

At the end of the workshop, the participants will be able to use different oral and written expressions and grammar constructions that they can use in their everyday communication. Students improve their Russian skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The students are also familiar with well-known Russian movies and cartoons, film directors, and actors as a part of the country study. Students are able to describe and analyze the plot of the movie, characters and express their attitudes, and discuss their thoughts with others.

Teacher(s)

Anna Kuznetsova, MA. Anna is a doctoral researcher and a certified teacher of Russian as a foreign language. She obtained her diploma from Moscow State University and has experience teaching Russian internationally.

The course can be taken as an “after-class” course in addition to other courses.

Schedule:
January 14, 21, 28 (every Tuesday) at 16:30 – 18:30\19:00.

Participants

Anyone interested in the Russian language.

At least an A2/B1 level of Russian is needed.

Credit points

1 ECTS. To get the certificate and transcript of records, students should participate in at least 75% of the classes.
